It seems like America is in a whirl wind. If it is not the threat of terrorism coming at us, or the threat of illegals flooding across our borders, the drugs, taxes coming at us from every angle or a new law going into effect that effects our families ability to keep our hard earned money or the high prices of goods or the rising petroleum prices that runs our cars and heats our homes then it is something else that is spinning out of control hitting us hard! We can not even begin some days to figure out how such things have happened to this nation and most of all WHO LET IT HAPPEN? If we stick our heads in the sand and try not to think about it or worse yet leave it to elected officials to straighten it out then we are definitely part of the problem and not part of the solution - and that folks is where most Americans are sitting right now. We at Were Getting Hosed are here to make sure you take your heads out the sand and stop allowing elected officials to straighten things out without your input. It is our nation and it is our future they hold in their votes. We elected them, we basically hired them to do a job for us, which means they have to answer to us. Too much time has passed where we the people have allowed these elected officials to do as they want to and not as We want them to do. Don't be suckered into allowing them to tell you 'they' know better, the answer is 'do as we say and do as we want'. Businesses are what drives America, believe it or not the small businesses are the real heart of America, yet it is these small businesses that are constantly being attacked through taxes and big business regulations enough to drive them out of business. Little by little small businesses are eaten up or destroyed leaving little left to keep the heart beat of America going. This gives more power to large corporations that are greedy and not out to benefit anyone but themselves. These corporations suck the blood life out of America. Who runs them? Who is behind the scenes? While these deceitful people are making money and not held accountable YOU - and I are left to suffer the losses. Are we getting hosed? You bet! And now we will give you breaking news on just who is stirring up America - right NOW! And HOSING US ALL.

Car Makers - Detroit - Bailout - NOT Good for America!

Although we all do not want to see our US car makers to go under - a bailout is not the answer. Doing so will only hose the American people by having our taxes go to help in the bailout. How much can we take? The way the government is going it will own all the banks and all the major corporations before this is ended which will basically be another Russia before it ends. That would give us no capitalism and total socialism, a complete future of failure. What needs to be done with the car makers is to dissolve the unions and start over from scratch - paying salaries equal to the labor, giving perks equal to what the firm can handle based on profit, and petitions or health care for retirees to be reassessed and given upon the corporations ability to pay based on money available. No one likes to hear the truth but without these drastic measures the corporations will die a horrible death, leaving employees and retirees left in the cold, not to mention the domino effect it will put on other businesses that rely on the car makers for business. Right now as I see it - either you reconstruct or loss it all. A bailout such as the democrats are offering will just give the unions more money and will not ultimately save the auto makers for a future of profit. Take a look at Toyota, Honda, Nissan - all with plants in the USA, all non union and all are surviving. They pay 30+ an hour vs 72+ an hour for US auto makers. They have employees that either work or they get fired, US auto makers employees are protected by unions allowing them to even sleep on the job or do little without the fear of being fired. These are two examples - do you see something wrong with the picture? The time is now to wipe the slate clean and begin to run the auto makers with some real business ethics rather than union ultimatums.

Carbon Credits for Aborted Babies and Sterilization --- What are we coming to?

When I heard this I had to do some searching - in 2007 it was proposed and put into place in Australia - and China does this as well. With our outlook of a socialistic society under the rule of the Obama Presidency could something like this for the US be far behind? Remember , Al Gore leads the way with Carbon Credits, not to mention John Edwards and John Kerry will help spirit this kind of baby killing in the US. Just think - if you were taxed - yep more taxes - on your baby (throughout it's life) how many young struggling couples would be able to have a baby? Or if you could go to a clinic and get that baby aborted or get sterilized plus receive carbon credits so others could pollute - giving you some great inner ego high - well how do you think that will go over? I say - What in the heck is this country - this world - coming to? No we will not go extinct but our nation will greatly suffer in years to come. Just look at China and discover the problems that they have with fewer females to marry their males, what will happen to their population in years to come? It will go down and the effect on a country which relies on its future with a huge population for labor will suffer. The US will see this much quicker as we are not starting with a tremendous population. We may not go extinct but we will see great effects on the planet nonetheless.

Congress is about to hose the American People

Senator Joe Lieberman (D) from CT is getting ready to step up to the chopping block on Tuesday. Congress will be voting through a Secret Ballot whether or not to oust him from his position in congress. Now who is talking bipartisanship? Just because he stood up for his convictions and campaigned for McCain, Obama and his followers want him out of there. Do you think that McCain and other republicans would have ousted democrats from prime positions? If we want to keep our freedoms and keep our government of the people and by the people maybe we should voice our opinions and tell congress what we think. I suggest after reading this article that you go directly to our let freedom ring page to contact your congressman - voice your opinion - No Secret Ballots - save Lieberman's job, a job well done. Tell them to stand up to support bipartisanship, vote to keep Lieberman - because that is what the PEOPLE want!
